Registration is now open for the fifth annual Hope 100 Golf Marathon, which will take place on September 30, 2019, at Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton. Commencing with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m., the day involves completing 100 holes at the beautiful Valley Course, with stops along the way for course refreshments and snacks. Participation is limited to 36 golfers.
The Hope 100 Golf Marathon is a unique annual event for Hope Hospice in which each golfer commits to raising $2,500, with net proceeds benefiting Hope’s patient care and grief support programs in the East Bay/Tri-Valley areas. Participants may either pay their $2,500 entry fee directly, or encourage friends and family to collectively support them and cover the fee – and perhaps beyond.
Funds raised this year from the 2019 Hope 100 Golf Marathon will directly support our Living With Dementia caregiver-education program, our Advanced Illness patient-care program for patients not yet ready for hospice, grief support services for adults and youth, and educational workshops about end-of-life care planning and caregiving that we provide to local families. These programs are offered free of charge to the general public, made possible because of community contributions and support.
Included in registration are green fees and a golf cart, plus your clubhouse breakfast, box lunch, course snacks and beverages, an evening cocktail reception, and buffet dinner.
