Our Family Caregiver Education Series is available to any member of the community who is currently engaging as a caregiver to a loved one living with a terminal diagnosis or a disabling chronic condition, regardless of whether your loved one is a Hope Hospice patient.
The 12-class series covers a variety of topics and provides training, education, support, and resources relevant to family caregivers. Plus, much like a support group, these classes provide an opportunity to connect with others who have shared experiences.
**** UPDATE 3/27/2020: With the growing concern over the spread of coronavirus and in the interest of protecting the health and well-being of guests and staff, Hope Hospice is temporarily transitioning our Family Caregiver Education Series classes to virtual meetings via Zoom remote-conferencing. We will evaluate the situation on a month-by-month basis. Please continue to watch this website for updates. If you have any questions, please contact program manager Debbie Emerson at (925) 829-8770 or by email. ****
Classes are offered to the community for free, though donations are greatly appreciated and help us offset the cost of running the program.
