Spiritual well-being is a sense of connection and wholeness in relation to the divine, ourselves, our families, and our natural world. At Hope Hospice, our spiritual care providers seek to discover where you find connection to yourself and the world around you. We support you in strengthening those connections, as well as healing any losses that may be impacting you. The hospice experience is an opportunity to heal and deepen relationships, forgive one another, and say thank you before saying good-bye.
Spiritual care providers address patient and family spiritual needs. Whether you believe in God or not, your human spirituality is inherent. Hope Hospice spiritual care services are based on unconditional acceptance of and respect for your religious beliefs and practices, whether you are agnostic, humanist, atheist, devoutly religious, or somewhere in between.
Our spiritual care providers know that at times the best medicine is an open heart, a listening ear, a warm hand to hold, or a shoulder to cry on. We can address your fears, your regrets, and your concerns. We may provide rituals, a beautiful song, a prayer, or a blessing. We can assist with planning and officiating funerals and memorials, or connect you with community clergy from your own faith tradition when desired.
As board certified chaplains, our spiritual care providers are important members of the interdisciplinary team. They have extensive experience in health care and a unique understanding of spiritual needs at the end of life. We hope we can be of service to you.
