January – December 2017
Can I register for individual classes?
Yes. Participants may sign up for any or all classes. Registration is ongoing throughout the series.
How much do the classes cost?
Classes are offered at no cost to all community members; however, donations to Hope Hospice are greatly appreciated.
Does my family member (care recipient) have to be “on hospice” for me to participate?
No. In fact, this program is designed for anyone who is caring for an elderly or chronically ill loved one, as well as for those who anticipate becoming a family caregiver in the future.
Is this program open to professional (paid) caregivers?
Yes, but . . . This program is open to anyone who is interested in the subject matter. BUT, while the classes are valuable to anyone involved with the care of an elderly or chronically ill patient, they are designed with the family caregiver in mind.
Does Hope Hospice offer any certifications or continuing education credit (CEUs or CEs) for this program?
At this time there are no credits or certifications offered; however, we will explore this option in the future.
When are the classes held?
Classes are held on the second Saturday of each month (except December). Registration and refreshments begin at 9:45 a.m. Classes will start promptly at 10 a.m. and will continue until noon.
Where are the classes held?
All classes will be held in the 2nd Floor Conference Room at Hope Hospice, 6377 Clark Street, Dublin.
I can’t take the classes on the dates offered. Are there plans to offer them again?
Yes. Check the website for upcoming class offerings.
Is there a registration deadline?
So that we may plan for class materials, we would appreciate it if participants register at least 5 days in advance of a class. Remember that registration for the series is on-going.
